
Tuesday February 1 Cold morning 8 above zero. Ed and I sawed and split wood on the woodpile. Shappee Takerr? came here to dinner and Ed went home with him and drove his team. Isaac and Annie here tonight.
Wednesday February 2 Stormy morning. We all went to Allie Fero*s for a reception for George and Minnie. I went to Mr. Morey*s donation at night. Rode down with James and walked back.
Thursday February 3 Dark and foggy with some rain. Ed went to Caucus to Monterey. Allie went up to Mart*s. I went to Jameses and got Alida Moore. Sleighing fine.
Friday February 4 I done chores and Ed drawed logs in the forenoon. After noon Mart called here, also Mrs. Pangburn. George and Minnie here tonight.
Saturday February 5 George and Minnie went to James just before noon. Ed went to the mill with one load of logs. We all went to the Grange at night and Alida Moore went home.
Sunday February 6 Home all day, mild with a little rain. Frank*s folks came here and brought Alida Olmstead.
Monday February 7 Rainy day. Ed and Allie went to Corning with the buggy. James brought his sleighs up and we skidded three logs and he took 2 to the mill. After noon Aaron called here. Foggy day and trees loaded with ice tonight.
Tuesday February 8
I went to see Uncle Henry Fero and found him a little better. Went to James and got lock chain, then went to Monterey to the town meeting. Went with the cutter, but part way poor sleighing. Foggy.

Wednesday February 9 I and Ed went and bought Mrs. Nancy Phelpses cow- paid $23. Called to see Frank Colger, found him some better. We went with the cutter but when we came home the sleighing was spoilt.
Thursday February 10 I went to see Uncle Henry Fero found him some better.Bought a rooster of Mr. Paigburn-paid25cents.Ed went along and brought home our new cow. Fine day and quite muddy part way. Darley Schuyler Moved into puts? House today. Took * a bushel of oats out of the grainery for Isaac*s horses. Making 4 to date.
Friday February 11 Home all day. Ed went to help Mart saw wood, but most of the day stormy. I done chores and went to the other house and barn and shut the gates. Foggy
Saturday February 12 Cold and squally day. I done chores and Ed helped Mart saw wood. I went to see Mr. Weller and found him some better, then went the concert at the church and stayed to Frank*s all night.
Sunday February 13 Cold morning, Ground froze very hard and part way very icy. I came home from Frank*s by foot in the forenoon. Ed and Allie went to Mr. Anthony*s. Alida Olmsted here and we went to see Mrs. Ellis. Went over the snow banks with the buggy.
Monday February 14 Alida started for home, I took her to the train in the buggy. Part way very icy. I went over to Frank*s to dinner. Ed helped Mar t today.
Tuesday February 15 Ed washed in the forenoon and trimmed the grape vines. After noon we cut the chestnut tree up along the west road and sawed it partley up for wood. Aaron helped. James and Alida come up and brought seed and stayed all night. Foggy day
Wednesday February 16 James and Alida went home. I went to William Stevenses and had the cross, but Saw? Filed. I went to Uncle Henry*s to dinner. Mild and lowry day. I got 4 bushels of clover seed and 2 of timothy from Jamesfor $20. Ed got two of each for $15. I bought one half of Ed*s sheep, paid $24.25 and also * of the Phelps cow, paid$11.50
Thursday February 17 Fine day Ed and Mart sawed wood and I split some at the house.
Friday February 18 Home alone. Ed and Allie went to Jameses. Mart called here a spell. Mild and stormy
Saturday February 19 I went to Watkins, drove Kit to the Buggy. Took dinner with Isaac at Mr. Howard*s and he came home with me. Wheeling fine, but getting a little muddy. I stayed all night at Jamses and went to the Grange.
Sunday February 20 Went to Frank*s and went with them over to Uncle Henry*s. It turned colder and snowed some. I came home at night.
Monday February 21 Ground covered with snow. I done chores and split and piled some wood. Leon and Carry came up to go down tomorrow to visit with Mr.Gray*s folks.
Tuesday February 22 I took Allie to Duane*s and then went to Frank*s and visited with Henry Gray and wife, then came home.Allie called to see Ray Weller*s wife, found her sick, and his mother there. Mrs. Anthony sick also.
Wednesday February 23 Ed tok two logs to mill. After noon I got Kit shod at Shuman*s. Ed and Allie went to his father*s and stayed all night. I stayed home alone, long and lonely night.
Thursday February 24 I done the chores-very windy morning. Ed and Allie came home from his Father*s, then Ed went up to John*s and got some milk. After noon we cleaned up oats and barley, put 4 bushels in Box for Kit and put two barrels worth into the grainery of 4 bushels each. Put 4 bushels in box for kit making 8 in all.
Friday February 25 Pleasant day. Frank Underwoods folks here today. Ed went and got the mail at night.
Saurday February 26 Very squally day and snow drifted very bad. Ed went to Beaver Dams. I done the chores and stayed in the house most of the time.
Sunday February 27 I and Ed shoveled the road open along from here to Dorms then went to Leroy Miller*s a spell then came home. After noon very squally.
Monday February28 Cold day. Ed washed and I done chores. After noon we went to Jameses. They had gone to Watkins. Then we went over to Mr. Anthony*s a spell.
